What are the fungal and bacterial disease of mushroom?write along with their symptoms and management.

The fungal diseases and bacterial diseases of mushrooms, along with their symptoms and management:

A. Fungal Diseases:

1. Verticillium Wilt:

a.  Symptoms: Yellowing and wilting of leaves, stunted growth, and brown discoloration of the stem.

b.Management: Remove and destroy infected plants, practice crop rotation, and use fungicides containing active ingredients like thiophanate-methyl or azoxystrobin.

2. Fusarium Wilt:

a. Symptoms: Yellowing and wilting of leaves, brown discoloration of the stem, and stunted growth.

b. Management: Remove and destroy infected plants, practice crop rotation, maintain proper ventilation, and use fungicides containing active ingredients like azoxystrobin or fludioxonil.

3. Trichoderma Rot:

a. Symptoms: White mold growth on the surface of the substrate, greenish spores on the mycelium, and soft, wet patches on the mushroom caps.

b. Management: Improve sanitation practices, avoid overwatering, maintain proper ventilation, and use fungicides containing active ingredients like thiophanate-methyl or carbendazim.

B. Bacterial Diseases:

1. Bacterial Blotch:

a. Symptoms: Dark, water-soaked lesions on mushroom caps, slimy texture, and foul odor.

b. Management: Remove and destroy infected mushrooms, practice crop rotation, maintain proper ventilation, and use bactericides containing active ingredients like copper hydroxide or copper sulfate.

2. Bacterial Soft Rot:

a. Symptoms: Soft, slimy, and water-soaked areas on mushroom caps, foul odor, and rapid decay.

b. Management: Remove and destroy infected mushrooms, maintain proper ventilation and humidity levels, improve sanitation practices, and use bactericides containing active ingredients like copper hydroxide or copper sulfate.

3. Bacterial Spot:

a. Symptoms: Dark, water-soaked lesions on mushroom caps, yellow halos around the lesions, and irregularly shaped spots.
b. Management: Remove and destroy infected mushrooms, maintain proper ventilation, avoid overhead irrigation, improve sanitation practices, and use bactericides containing active ingredients like copper hydroxide or copper sulfate.
It's important to note that prevention, through proper sanitation, ventilation, and crop management, is key to controlling fungal and bacterial diseases in mushroom cultivation. Regular monitoring and early intervention are also crucial for effective disease management.
